AWC Staff Services are looking for a Head of Bid Management to join our client who provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within their Distribution & EV team. They work hard to make safe, quality, sustainable EV projects a reality. Teams install charging stations, ensuring they are accessible and reliable, and ingrate them into the energy network.
As Head of Bid Management, you will join our clients Energy team in Nottingham on a Hybrid basis.
What will you be doing?
- You'll be managing the pipeline of sales and bidding performance
- You will develop and deploy a team of 4 expert bid resources to ensure we secure contracts in line with our business plan
- Drive continuous improvement of the department and its processes
- Ensure all tenders follow the governance process
- Manage lines of communication with the client procurement teams
- Communicate the bid pipeline with key internal stakeholders, to ensure all bids are resourced effectively.
- Manage library of bid management content
- Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures, and ensure you lead by example with regards to the businesses values.
What you’ll bring
- Background in a construction / utility-based sector
- Experience with NEC contracts
- A minimum of five years experience in bid management
- Proven experience in managerial positions
- Able to multi-task and manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Robust skills in Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Degree qualified (not essential)
- Ability to communicate confidently and concisely about products or services
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent bid writing and proof reading skills
- Able to travel when required

Rate: £80,000 - £90,000 Per Annum, DOE
