AWC Staff Services are looking for a National Grid Authorised Competent Person for Melksham Substation, Wiltshire.
Civil Operative (Competent Person & NSI 8 Full) As per groundworker requirements. Responsibilities will include managing access to live HV substation in accordance with NG NSI Safety Rules. Responsible for ensuring safe access/egress of delivery vehicles & plant to the s/s.
Responsibilities will include:
- Hold NG Safety Document within a live HV Substation
- Ensure works as being carried out as detailed within the NG Safety Document in the NG demarcated area.
- Assist the Civil site team with drainage installations (Surface & Foul water, Oily water), HV & LV ducting, draw pits, installation of HV & LV precast troughs and excavations.
Start: 27th October 2025
Duration: 7 months
Rate: £320 Per Day
